Charlie Kirk is Dead - But His Racism Will Live On

The article that sparked my interest in this case can be found here:

Charlie Kirk Is Dead—But Black America Remembers His Racism

Clearly, we should not be trying to solve our political disputes with bullets. But damn near every conversation I hear about this is very frustrating because I hear a lot of liberals and moderates trying to placate their conservative friends with "both-sides-ism" which absolutely does not apply here.  At all.  Yes, in the history of American society there have been left-wing extremists who have caused or attempted to cause mass casualty events.  The Oklahoma City Bombing being the most prominent and deadly of the few left-wing attacks that have occurred.  The truth is it is far more likely that a right-wing extremist will resort to violence than a left-wing extremist doing the same. But don't take my word for it, take it from the Trump Administration's National Library of Medicine

It seems to me a fundamental dishonesty, and a fundamental treachery to intellectual integrity to hold a belief because you think it's useful and not because you think it's true.

While I would certainly categorize the assassination of Charlie Kirk as a tragic act of political violence, it's not easy to feel sorry for someone who openly mocked Juneteenth being honored as a federal holiday. In fact, with very little effort, one can find dozens of public utterances by Charlie Kirk that place him very close to being bona fide hood-wearing, torch carrying KKK warrior.
